  • Will I meet my website designer?

    Usually yes. For clients around West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey we like to arrange at least one meeting as this helps us get a better understanding of your needs. We can meet you at your premises, place of work, or home, alternatively we can meet somewhere neutral or you are welcome to visit us. For clients further afield we are more than happy corresponding through emails and video conferencing. We have clients as far away as China – so it’s not always possible to meet.

  • How long will my website take to build?

    This largely depends on the complexity of your website, who is supplying the websites’ copy and how quickly you can respond to communications. On average it takes around five weeks from first concept through to the finished website.

  • Do you organise hosting?

    Of course. You can choose to use our UK based hosting for your website or we’re happy to use your existing hosting company if they’re suitable. Alternatively we can organise hosting at any hosting company on your behalf – although we do have some minimum requirements to help ensure your websites’ performance and stability

  • Can I get a me@mywebsite.co.uk email address?

    Of course, whilst we’re setting up your domain name we can also add any email accounts you need. If you’re using us for hosting your new website then starter email accounts are free. If you choose to use a different company for hosting they may charge you additional fees.

  • How do I access my emails from my computer?

    If you’re using GDSWebDesign’s hosting for your emails then we’ll send you the details you’ll need to access your emails. You can double check the settings by following this link https://admin.livemail.co.uk to your email control panel and logging in with your email address and password. You can either access your email account through a browser, like internet explorer, or if you’re using Outlook or another email client we’ll send you instructions on how to set things up or you can download our instructions by following the relevant link below.

    If you need additional help on setting up your computer or internal email system we can arrange for an engineer to visit you at your home or premises to assist further.

  • Can I access my emails from my phone?

    If we’re hosting your website then you can read all your emails from your phone. If you need to send email from your me@mywebsite.co.uk account via your phone then we make a small annual charge for this service. We’ll send you all the details you’ll need to enter into your handset. We’ll help you as much as we can – but as all handsets and service providers are different you might need to seek additional help from your phone shop or network supplier.

  • Why can’t I see my website in Google?

    Unfortunately we just have to wait until Google finds a link to your website and decides to start exploring and indexing your new website. Sometimes this happens in just a few hours, at other times its taken weeks. Websites on brand new domain names sometimes take a little longer than re-designed websites using older/existing domain names. But don’t worry; we’ll tell Google about your website – but then we just have to be patient.

    For Deposits or other payments using your credit or debit card select an option below and click the PayPal logo. You’ll then be asked to enter your card details and an amount. PayPal is safe, secure, and you don’t need a PayPal account to make a payment.
